Zbigniew Ignaczewski

Zbigniew Ignaczewski is a graduate of the Academy of Music. Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz in Łódź, in the accordion class of prof. Dr. hab. Bogdan Dowlasz, diploma with honors (1988). Since 1993, he has been employed at his alma mater, where he has been teaching the accordion class since 2002. Since 1992, he has been working as an accordion teacher at the Music School Complex. Stanisław Moniuszko in Łódź. He received the title of professor of musical arts in 2014.

He cooperates with many Polish and foreign cultural institutions. His achievements include many concerts as a soloist and chamber musician, world premieres of solo and chamber accordion works by Polish and German composers, recordings recorded on electronic media (CD), recordings for Polish Radio and Television, and recordings of theater and film music. He gave concerts in Poland and abroad. In 1999, he received the Jury Award “European Short Film Promotion Prize of the Wünstenrot Stiftung” for the music (Promotion Prize for best Music) for the film “Jakub”, dir. Adam Guziński, during Filmfest Ludwigsburg Stuttgart, Germany. He is invited to give lectures and classes during music courses in Poland and as part of international cooperation abroad (Croatia, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland).

His students achieve many successes at international and national accordion competitions in solo and chamber categories, including in: Poland, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland . They are scholarship holders of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship. He himself participated in many national and international competitions as a jury member.

For his work, he received awards, decorations and diplomas, including: Gold Cross of Merit, Silver Cross of Merit, Silver Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis, Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis, awards of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Director of the Center for Artistic Education in Warsaw, the Voivode of Łódź, the Łódź School Aid Association, the Rector of the Academy of Music. Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz in Łódź, Director of the Music School Complex. Stanisław Moniuszko in Łódź, the Jury of the 2nd International Accordion Competition in Poprad (Slovakia) for the best teacher, the Jury of the 3rd International Accordion Meetings Sanok’98 for special pedagogical achievements and the Organizers of the International Accordion Music Festival in Przemyśl for outstanding achievements and successes in teaching.
