The Young Spirit of Dance is a Polish-Japanese dance project that had its premiere in 2017 and since then has been hosted many times on Polish and Japanese stages of leading music and opera theaters. The originator and organizer of the show is Wiesław Dudek – an outstanding Polish dancer, Founder and President of the Foundation The Spirit of Dance by Wiesław Dudek.
This year’s edition of the Young Spirit of Dance event will feature the COPERNIC 550 spectacle – created especially for the 550th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Polish astronomer. It is an interdisciplinary spectacle, combining various styles and techniques of contemporary dance to the music of outstanding composers. They are: Bartłomiej Malarz, Emilia Sambor, Katarzyna Kozielska, Aleksandra Dziurosz, Przemysław Grządziela, Małgorzata Borowiec. The added value is provided by multimedia projections by Daniel Stryjecki – one of the best directors of artistic performances, lighting design, decorations, innovative costumes and the narrator’s voice introducing the viewer into the mood of traveling into space.
The most talented students of general ballet schools in Warsaw, Poznań and Bytom as well as their peers from ballet schools in Japan will participate in the preparation of the project.
