Ewa Banasiak is one of the most promising spinto sopranos of the young generation. She began her artistic path at the State Vocal and Ballet School at the Musical Theatre in Gliwice, later continuing her vocal studies at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. She refined her vocal technique under the guidance of renowned masters such as Izabela Kłosińska, Małgorzata Walewska, Teresa Żylis-Gara, Stefania Toczyska, Peter Dvorský, and Claudia Visca.
She collaborated with the ADADS Opera Studio in Milan, where, under conductor Marco Beretta and stage director Alberto Oliva, she worked on the title role of Puccini’s Tosca. Her repertoire spans a wide range of operatic and operetta roles – from Halka in Moniuszko’s Halka, Cio-Cio-San in Madame Butterfly, and Mimì in La bohème, to Santuzza in Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana, Amelia in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera, Sylva in Kálmán’s Die Csárdásfürstin, and Rosalinde in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. She has also portrayed Carmen in Bizet’s opera, Marguerite in Boito’s Mefistofele, and Cześnikowa in Moniuszko’s The Haunted Manor.
